The distinctive, oval, black on white design came into being as a result of the Convention On Road Traffic adopted by the United Nations on 19 September 1949 in Geneva. It required vehicles traveling in Europe to display an oval sticker with letter codes indicating its country of origin; such as GB for Great Britain or D for Deutschland (Germany). We have adapted the concept for souvenirs for retail sale or for practical applications, such as permits and parking stickers. The shape can easily support any number of design ideas: a few letters, an image, or an image and text.
The stickers are printed in black weatherproof ink on coated adhesive-backed vinyl. The ovals measure 3.25" x 4.75" and are kiss-cut on a rectangular carrier which contains a UPC code and is drilled to allow display on hangers. While originally intended for automobile bumpers they can be displayed on windows, golf bags, packaging, golf cars or other surfaces.
